Lars Moston & Breakfastklub – Organik – Out Now

CCM064 - Lars Moston & Breakfastklub - Organik

Lars Moston & Breakfastklub come out strong with their first release on Coco Machete. There’s three hot mixes to choose from depending on how you like your ‘Organik’ beats cooked. Lars comes at you with the original cut ready to rock the blocks from Harlem to Hamburg with heavy de-tuned 808 toms, clickety clack rim shots, the vocal chant of ‘Bring The Beat Back’ and enough bass to set of car alarms on the next block. Paris’ Mikix The Cat who has been dropping recent releases on Brooklyn’s Trouble & Bass takes things in a dirtier direction with big rave sounds that just might be the car alarms set off by Lars’ original. Finally Hamburg’s Teenage Mutants take things in a bit of an old school Chicago house direction adding swinging hi hats and bongo loops to round it out for the deeper dancefloors. So for a record called Organik this sure sounds like the big bang of a 16-bit drum machine attack from the digital world…Bring the beat back!!! You can shake it to me all night long!

Fukkk Offf – Brain Rock Parts 1 & 2 – Out Now

CCM062 - Fukkk Offf - Brain Rock Remixes Part 1

Late fall of 2010 we were graced with the Worldwide EP featuring four brand new Joints from our man in Hamburg, Fukkk Offf. ‘Brain Rock’ brought the fire as the standout track of the EP so we’ve spent the last few months putting together this undeniable remix package, in two parts, for your listening, dancing and Brain Rocking pleasure. Zodiac Cartel is back, his remix of ‘Rave Is King’ devastated the clubs for months, and his take on Brain Rock is just as crazy. As he said in his own words ‘Working on a new remix for Fukkk Offf…KEEPING IT WRONG!’. Brooklynite Indie darlings Body Language come in with an acid groover that works equally as well in the warehouses of Williamsburg as it does in the danceclubs downtown. TWR72 and Dinamics Rock the Brain a bit more on the techno side while Italy’s Cyberpunkers and Yacek keep it peak time RAVE! This beat gonna mess you up !!!

Spencer Product – Nightology – Out Now

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

CCM061 - Spencer Product - Nightology

Spencer Product is back and this time he’s teaching a lesson in ‘Nightology’. Picking up where he left off with ‘We Bite’ we find Spencer ‘lost in the streets, out at night, all dressed up…like a cabaret’. The original mixes old school bleep heavy techno, NYC fierce diva and distorted rock drum fills to maximum effect for any underground club worth its salt. Fear of Tigers, straight off remixes of Visage’s ‘Fade to Grey’ and Does it Offend You Yeah’s ‘Dawn of the Dead’, turns ‘Nightology’ into a massive building anthem for the chemical, the natural, the empty and those addicted to ‘Nightology’. Next on the floor is Kitsune artist JBAG who re-shuffles the original and adds rave-style breaks for the flip. Death to Throne & POSR give you a straight ahead club push ‘like a fire in hell’. ‘We don’t take no shit!!!’

Big Nuts & Big Knives – Out Now

CCM060 - Big Nuts & Big Knives

Coco Machete – Big Nuts & Big Knives. A collection of some of our favorite cuts from Coco Machete Records’ first 5 years, 2002-2007, Remastered. The sound of Coco Machete has always defied typical genre classifications in favor of bring something fresh and unique to the danceloor; There has to be a hook, a hell of a lot of bounce and a heavy dose of the street. The Coco Machete sound has always been influenced by Disco (Let’s Do It Again), Acid House (Rebel Music, Tie Me Up), Hip Hop (Livin’ My Life, Eye Kandy), Electro Funk (That’s A Good Look), and Post-Punk (We Are Back, On Again). As we move into our 10th year as a label we wanted to bring these tracks to light one more time in their remastered form in order to explore the foundations upon which we have built this house. It’s time to ‘Bring Down The Walls’

Out Now – Polymorphic "Apocalypse"

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

CCM055 - Polymorphic – "Apocalypse"

Hot off the release of ‘Rock To Play’ on Proxy’s Mako Records, Polymorphic and his gang of Moscow’s heaviest electro hoodlums have made their way back to New York City’s and Coco Machete Records. The title says it all as ‘Apocalypse’ signals the end as it grinds things right to the edge. Starting off with a deceptive, almost disco drum beat, the main track builds and builds with the sounds devilish choirs and demonic synths. Marseille kicks it’s straight into jack mode with an old school Chicago styled track that could have been lifted from the original Dance Mania playbook. Last up is Noise Invaders, also from Moscow and relatively new, coming fresh off their electro-funk rework of Chromeo’s ‘Don’t Turn The Lights On’…’If there is no God, everything is permitted.’ – Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Frederik Olufsen – Rocks EP – In Stores Now

CCM054 - Frederik Olufsen "Rocks EP"

There’s just no way to describe the sounds that come out of Copenhagen’s hottest young producer. Straight out of the Danish uptown underground we dare to bring you Frederik Olufsen and his premier EP for Coco Machete called ‘Rocks’. This is pure bangin’ electro but with touches of minimal, techno, deep house, dubstep and more. The whole release coheres around deep dark & distorted voices reminiscent of Lil’ Louis’ ‘Blackout’ telling the story of Mr. Olufsen’s rise from the Copenhagen underground. This past spring Fredirik’s remix for TAI was the surprise breakout mix so we decided to give him room to stretch out a bit…he gave us ‘Rocks’.

The Animatronik EP comes with three grinding synth driven tracks for anytime of the night or into the morning. First up is the EPs namesake with a builder primed to jump start any party into gear. ‘Born To Rave’, with it’s jumpy rhythms and snare rolls will keep you marching into the wee hours just in time to drop ‘My Friend’ on the crowd to jolt the whole scene back to earth it’s blistering meltdown and builds. Entyce – In Da Club – Fukkk Offf Mixes

CCM052 - Entyce "In Da Club - Fukkk Offf Remixes"

Hazel, the feisty female rapper from Fukkk Offf’s more than friends, is back with ‘In Da Club’ under the shimmering guise of Entyce to make your ‘body move to the bass and the beat.’ This time out it’s a straight non stop electro-disco workout courtesy of Coco Machete’s own Fukkk Offf on the remix. Driving directly at summer classic status this release is a nice twist and turn away from the darker sounds of winter. And DJs listen up when she says ‘Call Hazel if you need some help’
